If you already have a resume you're happy with, you don’t need to start from scratch. Dr. Job lets you upload your own file, and our system will convert it into an ATS-optimized format using resume parsing.
How to Upload Your Resume
- Go to your Dashboard
- Click View & Update Profile under your name
- Scroll to the Save My Resume section (Right side)
- Click Uploaded the wrong file? Click here to re-upload and update.
- Upload your resume in PDF format
Resume Parsing: What Happens After Upload
Once uploaded, your resume is parsed key information is extracted, and your data is reformatted to meet ATS standards. This improves your chances of passing resume filters used by hiring systems.
Where It Appears
After upload, your file is displayed in the Finish Up & Preview section on the right side of your dashboard. You can view or download it anytime.
Switching Between AI and Uploaded Resumes
You can switch freely. Whichever resume (AI-generated or uploaded) was added most recently becomes the active one across the platform.
Which Resume Is Used in Auto Apply
Auto Apply will always use your most recent, active resume. If you’ve uploaded a file, that’s what gets submitted unless you generate a new AI version afterward.
How to Replace or Delete It
There’s no delete button just click the same re-upload link and upload a new PDF. The system will overwrite the previous file automatically.
